Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background tells you something. It means the person running this has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker this new, the breadth is solid.
Platforms
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from the same login. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MT5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is offered for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it lands.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Works for beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level require a minimum deposit. This broker does not.
VIP. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. Those are not marketing fluff. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of your decision.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether this deal works is your call.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Read the conditions before you commit.
